Was going through my old comments & in November you said to me to read Wilde's Star-Child & I've just read it - thanks! It's brilliant. Good moral story but ultimately showing kindness is a hard thing to achieve & to maintain.

I am glad you liked my story 'Darkness' :D thank you for your comment. after going back and reading it again, i agree it does sound like a sex scene, it was not intended to be, but the idea is good. your comments are all welcomed and taken seriously. at first i was not sure about the whole flow and idea behind the piece, but after the positive feedback it must not be as bad as i thought. x

Ahhh right, I would never have guessed now, but it's obvious when you know- very smart. That's a pretty incredible thing to be able to do, to convolute something so poetically, incredible.
And as for the channel 4 thing once again, I didn't realise you were quite so far away, so I suppose it was kind of a British thing, but don't worry it's no in-joke or anything, just that the stuff on there is usually rubbish, although not as bad as channel 5 or bbc3, but I thought channel 4 had a better...
  46. Jack Steel
    12/01/2011PythonWorshipper
Yeh I completely understand what you say about not giving away intentions, sadly my stuff isn't complex enough that it's necessary but still.. Anyway yeh I'd love to know the intention of 'Delicious Iced Tea', if you'd be willing of course.

Thanks for your comment on mine too by the way, and the channel 4 joke didn't really make sense anyway, I like things that are nonsensical or if possible surreal, so basically I was just trying to be silly
  47. Jessica Jones
    11/01/2011Jeyssika
P.s. The picture I used for the 'You know you want to poem' the erm link is underneath your comment. It all looks better on the actual page because I changed the structure so the verses curve round the picture, but such is this site :P

P.s. Stil waiting on your piece for my R&J one ;) x
  48. Jessica Jones
    11/01/2011Jeyssika
Yeah it was meant to be one that made you think.
& yeah I know that's just how it ended up, with a longing - don't know how that happened (: But erm I think it's just that religion is such a huge thing but I mean I think it's actually faith that the world needs, something to hope in - I mean even people whom go against religion usually turn to something else instead.
Plus when I mean people don't understand - I meant they don't get all the scientific stuff.
    :) x

The Monica Wood tip is basically warning against writing the "bathtub story" - a story in which the protagonist is taking a bath (or occupying some other confined space) and thinks, analyses and ruminates about all sorts, but never gets out of the bath, or the confined space.

I am not criticizing, only questioning these sites. Though one good reason for being here is that there is no snobbery either which way, nor is there any pretence. Some readership, though little and forced, haha. And I personally like the presentation of our articles and works.

Hi M.J. I agree this is a blogging site for writers, but I wonder and genuinely, because I love human beings, if they are not wanting to publish somewhere. I know or have learnt that many of us are unpublished, and then how is it that we as a community find a road for us all. Compassion and activism, if you may say. Let us at least become one community.

'But it was to teach man to concentrate himself upon the moments of a life that is itself but a moment.' - Oscar Wilde.

& thank you very much about Scotch; it's good to write a character with a complete disregard for everything - no principles, no morals...whole lotta fun ;)

MJ - with regards to Quixotic; Psychotic - I haven't really thought about it like that before - I suppose it is three different stories in one; bit of a cheat really :) The idea behind it was to present how love (the word, the emotion, and the concept) can be warped into different things . . . and how dangerous it can be; how close to irrationality and hatred it can be (for both parties). Thanks for your feedback - very constructive and very helpful :)
  73. Juan Toosie
    05/11/2010Fats
MJ - have you read The Strain co-authored by Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan? That's a decent Vampire book as well - I keep meaning to write a review on it but haven't got around to it yet :)

MJ - I bought that movie ages ago and still haven't got around to watching it :( I did watch Cronos last night. Ever seen that? That's a cool little vampire flick as well.

Thanks for your comments on Angel - I'll work at the flow in dialogue if I ever get around to re-editing it :)

HI M J. Onion bubble tree. 2) victory story. Sorry a very simple story. The child holds an acorn. It is small and apparently lifeless. He then looks up at a once great oak tree.He is told of mighty warships and great nation saving naval battles; and he dreams. His acorn is the hms victory, and he holds the ship and englands destiny in his hand..That's all, sorry it's so simple.1 like the word synethesia by the way, never heard of it or seen it before!

Hi M J. Re the onuion bubble tree. THhanks for the feedback; pretty good cfora bit of fun but now your questions. As regards the God guestion I was more puzzled as to how could make mum cry-interesting linkage though. Now the other questions. 1)fair point but think of a childs view of a bubble. it comes, it grows,it delights, then pop it goes. Like a fairy tale or a dream it has power yet no physical substance, yet it enthralls all the same.Hope that makes sense 2)see next meassge

What is written is written. The rest is up to the reader(this is how I write all of my stories). Thanks for reading. I hope you had fun.
Think about it though...there could have been a third party saying "The plan is the only reason you're here" etc. This person isn't mentioned, but their existence depends solely on the readers' imagination.
