Bublick and Moumita, I am grateful to you for your encouraging comments about 'An Unequal World'. I want to do a series of shorts in that set up- like Malgudi days. Your words may just help me complete that.

Hi Rashma, thanks for your review of a little pot of Jam, you have a good point there which I will consider carefully. Glad I could be of help with " The Lost Dog".Hope you find my commments on " An Unequal world just as helpful. As you like the jam story you might like " Hopscotch on the Prom". It is more serious but I hope good all the same

Sorry finkland I don't remember the review you are getting upset over. Personal problems- oh well do you mean personality disorder or something? No, I am fine thank you; but if you can send me the link to the review I may consider seeing a shrink. All the best to you guys and thanks for taking your time to post messages.

Your critique on this poor kids first attempt to write was more like a tirade. Way to go to to discourage him from trying again. You ought to be ashamed of yourself. It appears you may have a personal problem.

"go to mattius the wise works, he has tried one in this genre, read my critque there and this very guy has outdone himself in another."

The quote above from your critique seems to be a bit more than self aggrandizement.

hi Rashma, thanks for your message. I came to the same conclusion, albiet not so handsaomely or effusivly, but it's good to get a confirmatory second opinion! I have approached a publisher who has seen some of my stories so I will let you know what results, if any, occur. Been reading Malgudi Days; thank you very much for the recomendation

Hi Rashma, thank you for your last message, it was very reassuring. Interesting thought about an anthology, and definately worth thinking about, but I am curious. As a writer I see certain threads interweaving through some of the stories; as a reader may I ask what patterns or threads do you see? I would be very interested to know.

Hi Rashma, just to clarify part of my last message. I hope you didn't think that I regard cultural differences oe experiances as insignifiacnt. All cultures have a story to tell and I think such diffrences are both important and fascinating. As individuals and comunally we all view encounter and share various emotions and incidents, both good and bad, and it is how we repond to such challenges that fascinates me as a writer.I hope I have not caused any offence by my last meassage

Hi Rashma, thanks for the message and recomendation of Malgudi days. From what I can see and read it sounds very interesting indeed; will keep you informed once I have read the book in more detail. Your comments show one thing though. Time place and circumstance do not always matter, the story is the important thing, no matter how small and insignignificant any detail may seem!

Hi Rashma, thanks for your comments on a question of style. I haven't read much chekov but as far as I can see he states that in oreder to go forward in life you need to find out excatly where you are so that you might begin. If so I agree with him but I'm still honoured with this linkage all the same.I do try and bring out the best in my characters, but some are not quite so loveable.Read the family man and you will see what I mean.More stories comming along soon. regards bublick

what place is there under the sun where one can shine.
Those are beautiful words. We all shine thiugh in our own rite. or Write.
It is all a matter of luck as i see it or it is just that others shine brighter than others. I was a very bright light in my youth, i could be seen for miles and had many people that wanted to know me. As i have gotten older i havve dimmed a little but i still shine although not as bright,

Ah, I see. Your articles sound like a criticism of the site itself, or of its real benefits to writers, but you are actually asking a different question.

How can we work together to be published for "real"? Good question.

But people here don't seem to share this concern. They aren't looking to attract agents here or to get their work published.

This site is essentially a blog-site for storytellers.

Guwiyang is one of the aboriginal words for fire. The yellow and orange creature is fire and the black dust is smoke. The eggs were coals. The creature wouldn't cross the sand because there were no combustables. The kangaroo was (if you had ordered it in a restaurant) "well done". And the egg that hatched became the first camp-fire.

    Peace with'm.
